EXTER-GRAND BEND

Exeter is a charming town in southwestern Ontario, first settled in 1832 by Irish immigrants James and Jane Willis. By 1853, the community had grown significantly, attracting more settlers from the Exeter and Devon areas of England. On July 1, 1873, the settlements of Francistown and Exeter merged to form the Village of Exeter. Today, Exeter is known for its rich history, including the original Carling homestead, a designated historical landmark
